This installation features salvaged highway construction materials compressed into heavy steel bales, stacked on steel plates and supported by an I-beam from Bethlehem Steel — the iconic manufacturer behind structures like the Golden Gate Bridge. The stamped steel celebrates the industrial heritage that enabled 20th-century engineers to design our soaring metropolitan skyscrapers and massive bridges.
